Dear Sanga,
The spiral is a pattern in nature that constantly reminds us that nothing is linear! Like the Kundalini at the base of the spine, like the Ashtanga yoga practice, like the tendril of a creeper moving towards light and support, everything is a dynamic spiral! When we recognise this to be our reality, we also know that we can start anytime, anywhere; wherever we are, we are on the spiral. Whether it is upward, downward, inward, outward, there is movement that is inevitable. When that movement becomes conscious and intentional, in the direction of light and clarity, it becomes the journey of yoga!
Over many years, we have explored different training models. How do we reveal, to a beginner practitioner, the vastness and depth even while staying with the fundamentals of practice?
How do we inspire a student to dream and follow their inner aspirations while keeping oneself rooted in the practicalities of life?
How should a teacher be to enable a student grow towards their highest potential?
What do we teach, how do we teach and how can we continue to be a student?
The model for training at YogaVahini helps you begin wherever you are at any stage of life, and begin again at any point in this journey.
The Yoga Sadhana program is blossoming with the energy of every participant who has chosen to start this journey in all earnestness.
When you discover you want to learn more, go deeper and may also want to share this precious understanding with more people, you are ready for a Yoga Acharya program with us.
A natural progression is to realise the aspect of healing and deeper change, the acharya then gravitates to Yoga Vaidya.
Everything we offer, whether it is group classes, workshops or study programs, helps you, wherever you are, to plug in and continuously nourish yourself and keep your aspirations and practice alive!
Like the nascent prana at the tip of the tendril, you are moving towards light…
Love and best wishes,
Saraswathi
