Sangama 2025 will feature workshops with some of the most revered teachers in yoga and therapy. Lakshmi Ranganathan will lead a workshop titled Mounam and Abhyasam in Our Practice. Lakshmi Ma'am, a senior yoga teacher with over 44 years of experience, studied under Sri TKV Desikachar and Sri T. Krishnamacharya. She was among the first teachers at Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram and later co-founded the Sanjeevani Ayurveda Yoga Centre, specializing in therapeutic yoga. An expert in using yoga for treatment, she has conducted numerous seminars on Yoga for Women, Pranayama, and Meditation, and has trained teachers in yoga therapy. Lakshmi Ma'am, along with her daughter Dr. Nandini Ranganathan, translated Yogacharya Krishnamacharya's Yoga Makarandam into English.

Angelika Sriram and R. Sriram will present a workshop on Yoga & Emotions. Angelika Sriram graduated in Dramatic Arts in Stuttgart, Germany, studied in Chennai at Kalakshetra, with The Dhananjayans and with Muthuswamy Pillai. She has performed extensively in India and Germany and published a book on Bharatanatyam as well as three novels in German. Sriram, a long-time student of Sri TKV Desikachar, has taught under his guidance at the Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram. He has been a pivotal figure in Germany, building a community of yoga practitioners who emphasize individualized practices. Together, Angelika and Sriram will explore the intricate relationship between yoga, sound, breath, and emotional well-being.

Raghu Ananthanarayanan will offer a workshop on Introduction to Citta Vidya. A student of Yogacharya Krishnamacharya and Sri TKV Desikachar, Raghu has been instrumental in integrating the wisdom of yoga into organizational design and change management. His deep understanding of Indic psychology and yoga therapy will guide us in exploring the confluence of tradition and modernity.

Dr. Latha Satish, a senior mentor at the Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram, will lead a session on The Future of Yoga Therapy. With her expertise as a psychologist and decades of experience in yoga therapy and counseling, Dr. Latha's insights will shed light on the transformative potential of yoga in addressing contemporary challenges.

An exclusive masterclass for alumni will be conducted by Srivatsa Ramaswami Sir, who studied with Krishnamacharya for 33 years. Srivatsa Ramaswami Sir brings unmatched expertise in Vinyasa Krama Yoga and has been a guiding force in sharing Krishnamacharya's teachings globally.

The event will also showcase presentations on yoga therapy in action, including sessions on yoga for stress resilience, women's health, healthy aging, and practices for young adults rooted in Vinyasa Krama.

Sangama will be enriched by cultural performances that celebrate the spirit of yoga and spirituality. These include dance recitals by artists such as Yashodha Thakore and students of Bharatakalanjali, a production based on Samkhya by Jyotsna Narayanan and Sriram, Dhrupad recital by Ashlesha Shintre, chanting from Vedic passages, Yoga Sutra and Tirumandiram and more… And of course, we would love you to share your talents in music, dance, theatre, etc not as entertainment but sharing what is most precious through the medium of art!
