Dear Sanga,
I hope, in all the busy-ness of your life, you have a few minutes to read this mailer. It might reveal that you have more time to pause, you are not in such a great hurry! If you do have a little time to pause, take a few deep breaths, and bring your mind to the present moment briefly, you might be able to see what a great gift this empty moment brings! When the mind is able to dip down into this emptiness, your breath can grow deeper and quieter...
Like Rumi says, "There is one way of breathing that is shameful and constricted. Then, there's another way: a breath of love that takes you all the way to infinity."
This is the breath of yoga that we would like all human beings to experience, more and more. Are you willing to journey with us together and support each other?
Yoga Sadhana was born out of such a quest. A program that has taken many incarnations in the last 10 years since we started, remains a fresh and exciting endeavour, an offering of love that brings together beautiful people from different walks of life with a desire for change from within. A new abridged edition of this course begins this week, in association with the Heartfulness Foundation (Sri Ramachandra Mission), as part of the YogaforUnity program, starting March 15th through May end.
Sriram's course on Bhagavad Gita begins this week. Take the time, settle down and immerse yourself in the precious teachings and practice that he brings to us with such generosity and grace!
I have started a Pranayama course once a month, in association with Yoga Therapy Australia, focussing on enabling a regular practice based on the rich teachings from our ancient texts. Going beyond techniques and theories, learn to embrace the subtle nuances of practice that are simple and profound!
In April, I am visiting Australia after a gap of 3 years, for a retreat in Trentham and a workshop in Mornington Peninsula with Marieke's Art of Living. We look forward to reconnecting with old friends and our friend within, exploring the power of the breath that can influence and transform our life.
Just enjoy breathing deeply...
Love,
Saraswathi.
